Description
Goat milk soap base is the best option for making different types of soap, like saffron goat milk soap, shea butter soap, neem soap, etc. We produce premium-quality goat milk soap base. The main ingredients of our goat milk soap base are olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, stearic acid, glycerine, and fragrance.
How to make soap using goat milk soap base
First, cut the soap base bar using a knife. After that, melt using the double boiler process. Then add the required vitamins, herbs, and fragrance, then pour into the mold. After 3-4 hours, unmold the soap. Wrap the soap to avoid sweating. Use it when you need.
A soap base is a pre-prepared soap ingredient—or the core structure of a soap—that allows you to create the final soap product relatively easily. It typically contains key soap-making ingredients that have already been processed or combined.
In other words,
Soap Base = A prepared core ingredient for soap making; the final soap is created by adding color, fragrance, oils, herbs, or other additives to it as desired.
How is soap base made?
The process varies depending on the type of soap base. Taking Glycerin (or “Melt & Pour”) soap base as an example, the process generally looks like this:
Oil/Fat + Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) → Saponification → Soap + Glycerin/Other components → Soap Base
In other words, the fatty acid component of the oil or fat reacts with NaOH to form soap molecules.
Difference Between Soap Base and Cold Process Soap
Cold Process Soap:
You personally measure out the ingredients—oil, NaOH (sodium hydroxide), and water—and carry out the saponification process to create the soap.
Soap Base:
Many crucial processing steps have already been completed. Specifically, with “Melt & Pour” bases, you simply melt the base, add fragrance, color, botanicals, etc., and pour the mixture into a mold to create the soap.
An Important Point
Not all products sold as “Soap Base” on the market are chemically identical. Some are genuine soap (fatty acid salts), some are glycerin-rich melt-and-pour bases, while others may be syndet (synthetic detergent) or soap-free cleansing bases.
Therefore, to assess the quality of a soap base, simply looking at the name—such as “Glycerin Soap Base” or “Goat Milk Soap Base”—is not enough. It is also important to examine the INCI ingredients, TFM (Total Fatty Matter), free alkali content, moisture level, pH, fragrance, and the manufacturing process.
